6WS
Probably worrying too much, as usual.
Shhhhhhhhh! I have the worst habit of making something out of nothing. I swear my brain actually makes shit up to worry about. I have been a total wreck this week and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I need to get my butt up the hill and get my ass back on a horse. That's like the best happy pill ever. Or I could run away to Jamaica. Jamaica sounds good.
Have a happy Easter everybody!

5QF
1. What is your favorite Easter tradition?
Usually we go camping in the dessert. We ride quads and do the whole Easter Egg Hunt and everything. This year, because I didn't bother looking at a calendar and the kids are with their dad, I'm going to the rodeo! Sometimes joint custody is a real bitch.
2. Are you a "shower" or a "long, hot bath" kind of person?
Definitely showers. I never really have been into taking baths. Not sure why.
3. Can you parallel park and if so when is the last time you did it?
Yes I can. It's probably been a couple of weeks.
4. What is your favorite Easter candy?
Oh, it's a toss up between peanut butter eggs and Cadbury Eggs.
5. Easter: do you go all out with the Easter Bunny or focus on the religious part of the holiday?
We're not really very religious and my kids are convinced that I'm the Easter Bunny. I don't know where they got that idea.

Fill in the Blank Friday
1. Fridays are the best and worst day of the week. The kiddos go to their dads which means I get a little break. But it also means that they're gone. That's never good.
2. My kids and my boyfriend make me terribly happy.
3. Something that inspires me is knowing my kids are depending on me and watching me go to school and work hard so I can take care of them.
4. If I had the day off today I would look for a new truck. Hopefully I can find one before my Jeep blows up and dies.
5. If I had to put a label on my home decor style, I would say my style is uh, what's a home decor style. Just kidding. I don't think I can put a label on it, other than cheap Wally World furniture.
6. Concerning politics I would say I'm actually pretty sick of politics. Blech
7. I'd like to go to Jamaica so I could lay on the beach drinking beer and relax with my love.

Music Monday
James Taylor "Sweet Baby James" Live
This is my favorite song by James Taylor. I used to sing it to my son when he was a baby, even though his name isn't James. ;)
Meet Me on Monday
Questions:
1. Caesar Salad or Garden Salad?
Caesar salad. Garden salads are okay, but something about a Caesar salad is just yummy.
2. Will you be watching the Royal Wedding on April 29th?
Nope. I have to work and it's just not that interesting for me.
3. Last thing you spent lots of money on?
My new running shoes. Hopefully they'll be here sometime this week!
4. Window seat or aisle seat?
Window seat. I like looking out the window.
5. Do you know your blood type?
No, but I really should.

Six Word Saturday
Waiting for my new running shoes.
Finally got my tax refund. Woohoo! Now I have the money to order my fancy running shoes. It's all about the shoes right? I'm going to get the sensor from Apple to put in the shoes so I can track my walks on the Nike site. Right now the only way I can track my miles is when I connect my iPod to the treadmill and I'd rather run outside. Since I want to work up to running eventually I hope this will help keep me motivated.
Nike didn't ask me to write this, but I wouldn't be opposed to a free pair of shoes!

Five Question Friday
1. What is your favorite sign of spring?
Warm weather. Sure the flowers are pretty, but not having to wear a jacket is awesome.
2. What was your best birthday ever?
Two years ago. I still have the present, my boyfriend! Lol. We went to a movie and miniature golf, but it wasn't so much what we did as who I was with.
3. What is your favorite dessert?
I believe I may have mentioned this before, it's cheesecake. Pretty much any kind of cheesecake. I haven't met a cheesecake I didn't like.
4. What is the best excuse you've ever used to get out of a ticket?
I don't have one. When I came up with this question I was kinda hoping to see some good ones in case I needed it in the future.
5. Do you wake up before your alarm, with your alarm, or after hitting snooze several times?
Most of the time I either wake up before or with the alarm. Me and my snooze button are not friends. That's just a slow torture. I do better if I just haul my ass out of bed.
Friday Funny
This is hilarious. I love the looks on the other customer's faces. Happy Friday!
Fill In The Blank Friday
1. My favorite daily responsibility is, going to work. It's a nice drive and I get to play for at least half the day.
2. My least favorite daily responsibility is, this is going to sound terrible, but helping my kids with their homework. At least twice this week there were 4 to 6 hour long battles. Seriously. Not that I stood there yelling at him or anything, I actually put myself in time out before it got there, but 4 to 6 hours of excuses and evasions. EXHAUSTING
3. My favorite cuisine to eat when going out is orange chicken at Panda Express. I don't know what they put in that stuff, but it's like crack.
4. My favorite cuisine to prepare at home is, how funny that you assume I cook! Okay, I can cook, but I don't really enjoy it. I prefer to bake. Why yes, I do make an excellent cheesecake. Thank you for asking.
5. Andy Warhol said that everyone is famous for 15 minutes. My claim to fame is this blog I guess. I was in the newspaper a couple of times when I was a kid for records I broke while swimming. That's about it.
6. If I could have 3 wishes I would wish for, a house, a new truck, and ;) I'm going to keep the third one to myself. I 'll let you know if it comes true
7. My biggest pet peeve is, wow I don't think I can pick just one. I'm grumpy. Everything gets on my nerves. Lol

- "I see people with Asperger's syndrome as a bright thread in the rich tapestry of life" - Tony Attwood.
- "It seems that for success in science or art, a dash of autism is essential" Hans Asperger.
- "Nobel prize-calibre geniuses often have certain core autistic features at their heart" Allan Snyder, director of Sydney University's Centre for the Mind.
- "If I could snap my fingers and be nonautistic, I would not - because then I wouldn't be me. Autism is part of who I am." --Temple Grandin
- "I do not suffer from Autism, but I do suffer from the way you treat me." -Tyler Durdin
- "Someone with Asperger’s really is like you, just more extreme." Dr. Winnie Dunn
- "Autism is as much a part of humanity as is the capacity to dream." -- Kathleen Seidel
- "Autism is a way of being. It is pervasive; it colors every experience, every sensation, perception, thought, emotion, and encounter, every aspect of existence. It is not possible to separate the autism from the person." --Jim Sinclair
- "Many autistics are told that they are broken, diseased, and dysfunctional. This is simply untrue. My wish for all autistics is that they will realize their self-worth and not believe the myth that they are someone that needs fixing." --Patti Shepard

- "Autism to me is not 'wrong', not subhuman, not a collection of deficits, it is simply 'other'. Another reality. And like anything different, it is going to jar." --Beth Silver
- "Exceptional human beings must be given exceptional educational treatment, treatment which takes into account their special difficulties. Further, we can show that despite abnormality, human beings can fulfill their social role within the community, especially if they find understanding, love and guidance.”
Hans Asperger

Meet Me on Monday
1. Who would be your dream celebrity date?
Gerard Butler. Just please, let him be intelligent. If he's a moron I'll have to leave. I can't date the dumb dumbs.
2. Do you have any food restrictions?
Yes, sadly. I have numerous food allergies and I'm lactose intolerant.
3. How much time do you take to get ready in the morning?
It depends on whether not I have to get the kids ready too. Just for myself though, including a shower, an hour at least.
4. Sausage or bacon?
Bacon. I LOVE bacon. Is there a bacon cheesecake somewhere? Cause that would be awesome!
5. Do you Google, Bing or Yahoo?
Google. Don't know why, I just do.

Appetizers for dinner = waking up hungry
I don't know what Blogger's issue with html is the last few days, but it won't let me post anybody's button. Fix it pretty please Blogger! It's times like this I think about switching to WordPress.

Five Question Friday!
1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
My temper. Lol, I have a short fuse. It's genetic. I can't help it.
2. Write about a time when you got lost.
I don't think I've ever gotten lost. If I'm driving or walking, then I pretty much can keep track of where I am. I sort of make a map in my head of where I am and can manage to make it back to where I started. Usually once I've been somewhere, I can find my way back over and over again without directions.
3. Camping or 5 star hotel?
Can I have both? Sometimes I want to go camping, but a 5 star hotel might be nice. Okay, I'd rather camp, but I'd like to try the hotel just so I can say I did it.
4. Have you donated blood?
Nope. I'm either always on some kind of medication or have recently gotten a tattoo and you're not supposed to donate blood for a year after getting a tattoo, or so I've heard. Guess I should ask huh?
5. Do you have a budget or do you 'fly by' most months?
I guess I have a budget. I only get paid once a month, so I have to be pretty careful otherwise I won't make it through the month.

Fill In The Blank Friday!
1. Something that makes me a great friend is, I'm a good listener and just all around awesome.
2. I am sitting in bed listening to the rain. I need my favorite pillow.
6. Something I'm willing to splurge on is electronics. I have turned into a gadget junky. Blackberry, iPod, laptop, camera . . . . . . . . It's horrible.
2. I am sitting in bed listening to the rain. I need my favorite pillow.
3. I am not good at keeping my mouth shut in class. I'm not the class clown, I'm the class loudmouth. I have attention issues. Surprise, surprise
4. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, they would be smart, silly, and impulsive. It's so hard not to interupt people all the time or start answering a question before somebody is done asking it.
5. Something I'm really cheap about is my clothes. I don't know why I just can't bring myself to spend more than $20 on a shirt. It just seems wrong!
6. Something I'm willing to splurge on is electronics. I have turned into a gadget junky. Blackberry, iPod, laptop, camera . . . . . . . . It's horrible.
7. I would trade a year's supply of cheesecake for a new truck in a heartbeat. My jeep is a piece of junk. I wouldn't wish the POS on my worst enemy. Sure it gets me from A to B, but it leaks transmission fluid the whole way there. Seriously, my back window is covered in it. I'm just waiting for it to catch fire one day soon.
Head on over to the little things we do to link up!
Thursday Thirteen - Places I would like to visit
- Ireland. I've had an obsession with Ireland since I can remember. Probably due to my Gone With The Wind obsession. I named my daughter after Scarlett O'Hara.
- Atlanta. Hello, Gone With The Wind. I know it's not the same, but I want to go there any way,
- New York. New York Cheesecake. I know it's gotta be the best there right? What could be more authentic than New York Cheesecake in New York?
- Texas. I have friends there!
- Washington. Jason has friends there!
- Sweden. Chocolate, need I say more?
- Australia. It just looks awesome.
- Jamaica. My great-uncle is building a villa there.
- Las Vegas. I've only been once and I had my kids with me. So really, I didn't have much fun.
- Paris
- Hawaii. I love the beach, and I have family that lives there.
- Nashville. Why not?
- Disneyland. I've been before, but I would love to take the kids again.

Music Monday
Sugarland - Stuck Like Glue
Love this song! Sugarland is awesome and the video is hilarious.
Meet Me on Monday
1. If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I'd love to say cheesecake, but I'm trying to get rid of this terminal case of tank ass right now. So, I'll say pizza because you can do alot with pizza and make it pretty healthy.
2. Do you write your blog posts in advance or the day you post them?
Sometimes in advance. If I have the time or I think of something good.
3. Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
Nope, no ambulance rides over the weekend. Lol
4. What is your favorite candle scent?
Wow, I haven't bought candles in a long time. I used to love Clean Laundry.
5. Coffee or tea?
Coffee, gotta have it. My mom once switched to decaf and didn't tell me. I had a killer headache for two weeks and couldn't get rid of it. Then I found out I wasn't getting any caffeine. WTH woman? You don't do that to people. In some countries that qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment.

Fill in the Blank Friday
1. The best prank I ever pulled was, I don't think I've ever done a really good one. I'll have to work on it for next year.
2. The best prank ever pulled on me was, I don't think anybody has pulled a really good prank on me either. Sounds boring huh?
3. A day without laughter is a day wasted.
4. The most important things in life are the people you love. I agree 100% with Lauren.
5. I dream of one day me and Jason having our own house and being done with school, working full-time jobs we actually enjoy and getting on with life. Sounds like a lot now that I look at it.
6. I dread public speaking even though I've been told I'm really good at it. I'm not much for being in the spotlight.
7. A discovery I made this week was just about everybody was as shocked as I was about having to grade math papers for my daughter's 4th grade class.

Head on over to The Little Things We Do to link up!

Five Question Friday
Yay! Mama M is back! Her daughter is feeling better and is home from the hospital! Welcome back Mama M!
1. Have you ever had surgery?
Yes, twice. When my babies were born. Both were c-sections. The Boy was too big to come out on his own and The Girl wanted to come out feet first. She's been doing her own thing since before birth.
2. Ever ride in an ambulance?
Nope, not yet any way.
3. How are you in a medical emergency? Panicked? Calm?
Calm I guess. Haven't really flipped out so bad that I wasn't helpful so I guess I'm doing okay. I have to know CPR and First Aid as part of my job so I guess I should know what I'm doing. LOL
4. Do you have a garden? Flowers or veggies?
Nope, no garden. If I had one I'd probably plant veggies. Home grown tomatoes are awesome!
5. When did you move out of your parents house?
I moved out after I got married and moved back in (omg) 4 years ago this July. In my defense I got divorced and went back to school and I'm almost finished with my Bachelor's degree, so hopefully I can get the hell out of here soon. I miss having my own house and would love to sleep next to my boyfriend every night.
